about me
P. Jonathan Tomás, MSN, APRN, NNP-BC, CPNP-PC/ACFounder & Clinical Innovator — KiDS 0 to 18 Integrative Pediatrics
Clinical Philosophy
Jonathan views primary care as the essential foundation of a child's medical home. He prides himself on providing exceptional care for every stage of childhood while acting as a dedicated partner and clinical navigator for families. Recognizing the importance of collaboration, he seamlessly connects patients with pediatric subspecialists in the community — ensuring complex medical care and customized plans remain anchored within the medical home whenever possible.
Professional Journey
Jonathan's foundation was built at the bedside, providing high-acuity care in the NICU and PICU at University of New Mexico Children's Hospital and Phoenix Children's Hospital.
- BSN — University of New Mexico, 2005
- Dual Master of Science in Nursing — UNM (2007) & ASU (2009)
- Post-Graduate Certifications — UT Arlington, 2015
During his twelve years of practice in North Texas, he co-founded Pediatric Health Specialists, shaping his belief that primary and specialty care must be integrated to support the whole child.
Specialized Expertise
Dedicated to children with complex medical, behavioral, and neurodevelopmental needs, Jonathan evolved his care model in Washington by establishing his practice as a designated Center of Excellence for Autism. He goes beyond simple labels to map each child's unique "brain style" — integrating primary medical care, specialty coordination, pharmacology, and educational advocacy into one unified, highly personalized approach.
Beyond the Clinic
Jonathan's passion extends directly into transforming the pediatric care landscape for his community. To eliminate waitlists and unify the care team, he is currently spearheading a transformative two-year expansion to bring counseling and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in-house, with plans for future Speech and Occupational therapies.
His ultimate vision is to cultivate an inclusive community of care anchored by a state-of-the-art Sensory Play Gym — a space where neurotypical and neurodivergent children alike can thrive together through play.
