Clinical Philosophy
Dr. Oberlander is devoted to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care to children and families through a thoughtful, relationship-centered approach that supports patients across all stages of development. Her practice is grounded in a whole-child lens, addressing physical health alongside emotional and neurodevelopmental well-being. She values knowledge-driven decision-making and clear communication, empowering families to confidently navigate their child's care journey in a space where steady, quiet presence meets nurturing support.
Professional Journey
A doctorally prepared, board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Dr. Oberlander brings over a decade of established clinical work and community involvement to the Tacoma and Gig Harbor areas. As an Army Nurse Corps Veteran and proud University of Washington alumna, she provides a friendly, approachable presence. Her leadership style is deeply rooted in curiosity, critical thinking, and innovation—hallmarks she playfully associates with her Ravenclaw House affiliation.
Specialized Expertise
In addition to providing comprehensive primary care, Dr. Oberlander's clinical expertise encompasses the management of complex behavioral conditions. She maintains a strong focus on neurodiversity, Autism, ADHD, adolescent care, lactation, sleep, and integrative practices. With a heavy emphasis on early intervention, she incorporates practical, evidence-based tools that seamlessly translate into everyday life for the children and families she treats.
Beyond the Clinic
Outside the clinic, Dr. Oberlander is the owner of Purple Heart Lavender Farm, a small-batch botanical farm that emphasizes sensory-friendly, hands-on, nature-based play. She holds a keen interest in holistic wellness, blending environmental sustainability into healthy daily home routines. She enjoys spending free time with her husband and two young children, mountain biking, gardening, and embracing the intuition, grace, and big-picture perspective symbolized by her favorite animal, the giraffe.
